The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced, via a public notice dated 14 September 2026, that the postponed Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will now be held on 12 and 13 December 2026 at ctet.nic.in. The exam, originally set for 6 September 2026, was postponed after CBSE reopened the online application window from 25 August to 1 September 2026, following a Supreme Court direction that eligible teachers get a reasonable opportunity to obtain the mandatory TET qualification. Candidates who had already submitted complete applications earlier do not need to reapply, as their forms remain valid for the December sitting. CTET is conducted offline in pen-and-paper mode across two papers: Paper 1 for teaching Classes 1 to 5, and Paper 2 for Classes 6 to 8; qualifying is mandatory for teacher recruitment in central and most state government schools. केंद्रीय माध्यमिक शिक्षा बोर्ड (सीबीएसई) ने 14 सितंबर 2026 के सार्वजनिक नोटिस के जरिए घोषणा की है कि स्थगित की गई केंद्रीय शिक्षक पात्रता परीक्षा (सीटीईटी) अब 12 और 13 दिसंबर 2026 को ctet.nic.in पर आयोजित होगी। मूल रूप से 6 सितंबर 2026 के लिए निर्धारित यह परीक्षा तब स्थगित हुई जब सुप्रीम कोर्ट के निर्देश पर, जिसमें पात्र शिक्षकों को अनिवार्य टीईटी योग्यता प्राप्त करने का उचित अवसर देने को कहा गया था, सीबीएसई ने 25 अगस्त से 1 सितंबर 2026 तक ऑनलाइन आवेदन विंडो फिर से खोली। जिन उम्मीदवारों ने पहले ही पूर्ण आवेदन जमा कर दिया था, उन्हें दोबारा आवेदन करने की आवश्यकता नहीं है, उनका फॉर्म दिसंबर परीक्षा के लिए मान्य रहेगा। सीटीईटी ऑफलाइन पेन-पेपर मोड में दो प्रश्नपत्रों में होती है — पेपर 1 कक्षा 1 से 5 और पेपर 2 कक्षा 6 से 8 पढ़ाने के लिए — और केंद्र व अधिकांश राज्य सरकार के स्कूलों में शिक्षक भर्ती हेतु इसे उत्तीर्ण करना अनिवार्य है। परीक्षा शहर पर्ची परीक्षा से 15 दिन पहले तथा एडमिट कार्ड दो दिन पहले जारी होंगे। उम्मीदवार अपडेट हेतु ctet.nic.in देखते रहें।
