The National Informatics Centre (NIC), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), has invited online applications for 376 Scientific/Technical Assistant-A posts, with the window open from 1 to 30 September 2026. Computer Science and IT carries the largest share with 300 vacancies, followed by 50 posts in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence and 26 in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Selection is based purely on a valid GATE 2024, 2025 or 2026 score in the relevant discipline followed by document verification, with no separate written examination conducted for this recruitment. Eligible candidates must hold a BE/BTech, MSc/MS or MCA degree in the corresponding subject along with the qualifying GATE score. Scientific/Technical Assistant-A is a Group B, non-gazetted post carrying Pay Level 6 of the Seventh Pay Commission, with a basic pay scale of Rs 35,400 to Rs 1,12,400. इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स एवं सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय (MeitY) के अधीन राष्ट्रीय सूचना विज्ञान केंद्र (NIC) ने साइंटिफिक/टेक्निकल असिस्टेंट-ए के 376 पदों हेतु ऑनलाइन आवेदन आमंत्रित किए हैं, आवेदन विंडो 1 से 30 सितंबर 2026 तक खुली है। कंप्यूटर साइंस व आईटी में सबसे अधिक 300 पद हैं, इसके बाद डेटा साइंस एवं आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस में 50 तथा इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स व कम्युनिकेशन इंजीनियरिंग में 26 पद हैं। चयन पूरी तरह संबंधित विषय में मान्य गेट (GATE) 2024, 2025 या 2026 स्कोर पर आधारित है, इसके बाद दस्तावेज सत्यापन होगा; इस भर्ती हेतु कोई अलग लिखित परीक्षा नहीं होगी। पात्र उम्मीदवारों के पास संबंधित विषय में बीई/बीटेक, एमएससी/एमएस या एमसीए डिग्री तथा योग्यता पूर्ण करने वाला गेट स्कोर होना चाहिए। साइंटिफिक/टेक्निकल असिस्टेंट-ए ग्रुप बी, गैर-राजपत्रित पद है जो सातवें वेतन आयोग के पे लेवल 6 (मूल वेतन 35,400 से 1,12,400 रुपये) के अंतर्गत आता है। इच्छुक उम्मीदवार समय सीमा से पहले आवेदन करें और आधिकारिक एनआईसी भर्ती पोर्टल पर पद-वार पात्रता व आवश्यक गेट पेपर कोड अवश्य देखें।
