The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Southern Railway, has released a notification for the engagement of 4,471 Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961, comprising 163 Fresher and 4,308 Ex-ITI vacancies across various trades. Online applications opened on 28 August 2026 and will close on 27 September 2026 at 5:00 PM. Candidates must have passed Class 10 with at least 50% aggregate marks and hold a relevant ITI trade certificate; the age requirement is a minimum of 15 years, with a maximum of 22 years for Fresher candidates and 24 years for Ex-ITI/MLT candidates, subject to applicable relaxation for reserved categories. Selection will be purely merit-based: Fresher category candidates are ranked using Matriculation marks converted to 200, while Ex-ITI category candidates are ranked on Matriculation marks converted to 100 plus ITI marks converted to 100, for a combined total of 200. There is no written examination for this apprenticeship engagement. रेलवे भर्ती सेल (आरआरसी), दक्षिण रेलवे ने अप्रेंटिस अधिनियम, 1961 के तहत 4,471 एक्ट अप्रेंटिस पदों की भर्ती के लिए अधिसूचना जारी की है, जिसमें विभिन्न ट्रेडों में 163 फ्रेशर व 4,308 एक्स-आईटीआई रिक्तियां शामिल हैं। ऑनलाइन आवेदन प्रक्रिया 28 अगस्त 2026 से शुरू होकर 27 सितंबर 2026 शाम 5:00 बजे तक चलेगी। उम्मीदवारों को 10वीं कक्षा कम से कम 50% अंकों के साथ उत्तीर्ण होनी चाहिए तथा संबंधित ट्रेड में आईटीआई प्रमाणपत्र होना जरूरी है; आयु सीमा न्यूनतम 15 वर्ष है, जबकि फ्रेशर उम्मीदवारों के लिए अधिकतम आयु 22 वर्ष और एक्स-आईटीआई/एमएलटी उम्मीदवारों के लिए 24 वर्ष रखी गई है, आरक्षित श्रेणियों को नियमानुसार छूट मिलेगी। चयन पूर्णतः मेरिट आधारित होगा — फ्रेशर श्रेणी में मैट्रिक अंकों को 200 में परिवर्तित कर रैंकिंग होगी, जबकि एक्स-आईटीआई श्रेणी में मैट्रिक अंकों को 100 में तथा आईटीआई अंकों को 100 में परिवर्तित कर कुल 200 अंकों के आधार पर रैंकिंग की जाएगी। इस अप्रेंटिसशिप भर्ती में कोई लिखित परीक्षा नहीं होगी। इच्छुक व पात्र उम्मीदवार अंतिम तिथि से पहले आधिकारिक पोर्टल sr.indianrailways.gov.in पर ऑनलाइन आवेदन कर सकते हैं।
