The Staff Selection Commission released the notification for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination 2026 on 7 September 2026, announcing approximately 2,536 tentative vacancies for Lower Divisional Clerk, Junior Secretariat Assistant, Data Entry Operator and Data Entry Operator Grade A posts in various central government ministries and departments. Candidates who have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board are eligible; certain DEO and DEO Grade A posts in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and the Ministry of Culture require Class 12 in the Science stream with Mathematics. The age limit is 18 to 27 years as on 1 August 2026, with relaxation for reserved categories as per government norms. Online applications can be submitted from 7 September to 7 October 2026 at ssc.gov.in. Selection involves a Tier-I computer-based test with sectional timing and negative marking of one-fourth mark per wrong answer, followed by a Tier-II examination and a qualifying Computer Knowledge or Typing Test depending on the post applied for.

कर्मचारी चयन आयोग (एसएससी) ने 7 सितंबर 2026 को संयुक्त उच्चतर माध्यमिक स्तर (सीएचएसएल) परीक्षा 2026 की अधिसूचना जारी की, जिसमें विभिन्न केंद्रीय मंत्रालयों व विभागों में लोअर डिविजनल क्लर्क, जूनियर सचिवालय सहायक, डेटा एंट्री ऑपरेटर व डेटा एंट्री ऑपरेटर ग्रेड ए के लगभग 2,536 अनंतिम पद शामिल हैं। मान्यता प्राप्त बोर्ड से 12वीं या समकक्ष उत्तीर्ण उम्मीदवार पात्र हैं; उपभोक्ता मामले, खाद्य व सार्वजनिक वितरण मंत्रालय तथा संस्कृति मंत्रालय के कुछ डीईओ व डीईओ ग्रेड ए पदों के लिए गणित विषय के साथ विज्ञान वर्ग में 12वीं पास होना आवश्यक है। आयु सीमा 1 अगस्त 2026 तक 18 से 27 वर्ष रखी गई है, आरक्षित वर्गों को सरकारी नियमानुसार छूट मिलेगी। ऑनलाइन आवेदन 7 सितंबर से 7 अक्टूबर 2026 तक ssc.gov.in पर किए जा सकते हैं। चयन प्रक्रिया में सेक्शनल टाइमिंग व गलत उत्तर पर एक-चौथाई अंक कटौती वाली टियर-1 कंप्यूटर आधारित परीक्षा, उसके बाद टियर-2 परीक्षा तथा पद के अनुसार अर्हक कंप्यूटर ज्ञान या टाइपिंग टेस्ट शामिल है।
