The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the notification for the Joint CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) December 2026 session on 7 October 2026, inviting online applications for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship/Assistant Professor eligibility across Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences. Applications can be submitted at csirnet.nta.nic.in until 5 November 2026, with a late window open till 9 November 2026 on payment of an additional Rs 500 fee. The exam fee is Rs 1,150 for General category candidates, Rs 600 for General-EWS/OBC-NCL candidates, and Rs 325 for SC, ST, third-gender, and PwD candidates. Candidates need a Master's degree or equivalent with at least 55% marks for General/EWS candidates and 50% for the specified reserved categories; the JRF age limit is 30 years as on the first day of the exam month, while there is no upper age limit for Lectureship/NET. The computer-based exam is tentatively scheduled for 19, 22, and 27 December 2026.

राष्ट्रीय परीक्षण एजेंसी (NTA) ने 7 अक्टूबर 2026 को संयुक्त CSIR-UGC नेट (NET) दिसंबर 2026 सत्र की अधिसूचना जारी कर दी है, जिसमें केमिकल साइंसेज़, अर्थ साइंसेज़, लाइफ साइंसेज़, मैथमेटिकल साइंसेज़ तथा फिजिकल साइंसेज़ विषयों में जूनियर रिसर्च फेलोशिप (JRF) और लेक्चररशिप/असिस्टेंट प्रोफेसर पात्रता हेतु ऑनलाइन आवेदन मांगे गए हैं। आवेदन csirnet.nta.nic.in पर 5 नवंबर 2026 तक जमा किए जा सकते हैं, जबकि अतिरिक्त 500 रुपये शुल्क के साथ लेट विंडो 9 नवंबर 2026 तक खुली रहेगी। परीक्षा शुल्क सामान्य वर्ग के लिए 1,150 रुपये, जनरल-EWS/OBC-NCL उम्मीदवारों के लिए 600 रुपये तथा SC, ST, थर्ड-जेंडर व PwD उम्मीदवारों के लिए 325 रुपये निर्धारित है। उम्मीदवारों के पास किसी मान्यता प्राप्त विश्वविद्यालय से संबंधित विषय में परास्नातक (मास्टर्स) डिग्री होनी चाहिए, जिसमें सामान्य/EWS वर्ग हेतु न्यूनतम 55% तथा निर्धारित आरक्षित श्रेणियों हेतु 50% अंक आवश्यक हैं; JRF हेतु आयु सीमा परीक्षा माह के पहले दिन तक 30 वर्ष है, जबकि लेक्चररशिप/नेट हेतु कोई अधिकतम आयु सीमा नहीं है। कंप्यूटर आधारित परीक्षा अभी अस्थायी रूप से 19, 22 तथा 27 दिसंबर 2026 को प्रस्तावित है।
