STET is a qualifying eligibility test, not a direct recruitment, so no fixed vacancy count is announced; candidates who clear it become eligible to apply for teacher posts in Bihar government secondary and senior secondary schools. The exam has two Computer-Based Test papers: Paper 1 for candidates seeking to teach Classes 9-10 and Paper 2 for Classes 11-12, and candidates may appear for either or both.
