The Central Board of Secondary Education has reopened the online application window for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) September 2026 cycle at ctet.nic.in, accepting fresh registrations from 25 August to 1 September 2026. CBSE took this step following a recent Supreme Court judgment directing that eligible teachers get a reasonable opportunity to obtain the required Teacher Eligibility Test qualification, letting candidates who missed the earlier window apply now. The exam, originally set for 6 September 2026, has consequently been postponed, and the revised date will be announced once the portal closes. CTET is conducted in two papers, Paper 1 for candidates aiming to teach Classes 1 to 5 and Paper 2 for Classes 6 to 8, and qualifying it is mandatory for teacher recruitment in central government and many state government schools. Candidates who already submitted a complete application earlier need not apply again. Aspirants should complete registration before the window closes and watch ctet.nic.in for the revised exam date.

केंद्रीय माध्यमिक शिक्षा बोर्ड (सीबीएसई) ने केंद्रीय शिक्षक पात्रता परीक्षा (सीटीईटी) सितंबर 2026 चक्र के लिए ऑनलाइन आवेदन विंडो ctet.nic.in पर फिर से खोल दी है, जो 25 अगस्त से 1 सितंबर 2026 तक नए पंजीकरण स्वीकार करेगी। सुप्रीम कोर्ट के हालिया फैसले के मद्देनजर, जिसमें पात्र शिक्षकों को अनिवार्य टीईटी योग्यता प्राप्त करने का उचित अवसर देने का निर्देश दिया गया था, सीबीएसई ने यह कदम उठाया है, जिससे पहले पंजीकरण से चूके उम्मीदवार अब आवेदन कर सकते हैं। मूल रूप से 6 सितंबर 2026 को प्रस्तावित परीक्षा अब स्थगित कर दी गई है, और पोर्टल बंद होने के बाद संशोधित तिथि घोषित की जाएगी। सीटीईटी दो प्रश्नपत्रों में होती है — पेपर 1 कक्षा 1 से 5 और पेपर 2 कक्षा 6 से 8 के लिए — और केंद्र व अनेक राज्य सरकार के स्कूलों में शिक्षक भर्ती हेतु इसे उत्तीर्ण करना अनिवार्य है। जिन उम्मीदवारों ने पहले ही पूर्ण आवेदन जमा कर दिया है, उन्हें दोबारा आवेदन की आवश्यकता नहीं है।
