The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has invited online applications for 734 Constable posts in Himachal Pradesh Police, split into 491 Male Constable posts under Advertisement No. 57/7-2026 and 243 Female Constable posts under Advertisement No. 58/7-2026. The application window has been extended and now runs from 10 July 2026 to 5 September 2026 (11:59 PM). Candidates must have passed Matriculation and +2 from an institution situated within Himachal Pradesh, though bonafide Himachalis who studied outside the state remain eligible; persons with disabilities cannot apply for this post. The age limit as of 1 January 2026 is 18-25 years for General/EWS candidates, 18-27 years for SC/ST/OBC/Ward of Ex-Servicemen, and 20-28 years for Home Guard categories. Minimum physical standards apply: male candidates need 5'6" height (5'4" for SC/ST) with a 31"x32" chest, and female candidates need 5'2" height (5'0" for SC/ST). The application fee is Rs 600 for all categories, payable online only and non-refundable. Selection runs through a Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), a 90-mark objective written exam with negative marking, document verification, and a medical examination, with final merit out of 100 marks including height and NCC certificate bonus points.
