The Karnataka School Education Department has released the Graduate Primary School Teacher Recruitment (GPSTR) 2026 notification for 15,000 vacancies covering Graduate Primary Teacher, Assistant Master, Primary School Teacher, Physical Education Teacher, and Computer Science Teacher posts in government schools for the 2026-27 academic session, including 8,500 posts for Classes 6 to 8. The online application link went live on 18 August 2026, and the last date to apply, originally 7 September, has been extended to 15 September 2026, with fee payment permitted through 10 September 2026. The application fee is Rs 750 for General and Backward Class candidates and Rs 500 for SC, ST, and eligible PwD candidates. Selection will be through a written examination followed by document verification, with exams tentatively scheduled for 5 and 6 October 2026. Eligible candidates must hold a graduation degree along with the relevant teaching qualification (such as D.Ed or B.Ed) as prescribed for each post.
