The Odisha Public Service Commission has invited online applications for 436 backlog Veterinary Assistant Surgeon vacancies, reserved exclusively for SEBC, Scheduled Caste, and Scheduled Tribe candidates of Odisha under the Fishery and Animal Resources Development Department. The application deadline, originally 24 August 2026, has been extended to 10 September 2026 through a recent corrigendum, which also revised the fee payment and form submission timelines accordingly. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science (BVSc) with registration from the Veterinary Council of India or a State Veterinary Council to be eligible. The written examination is scheduled for 26 September 2026, and selection will be based on performance in this exam followed by document verification. Selected candidates will draw a salary of up to Rs 56,100 per month as per prescribed pay levels. ओडिशा लोक सेवा आयोग (ओपीएससी) ने मत्स्य एवं पशु संसाधन विकास विभाग के तहत वेटरनरी असिस्टेंट सर्जन के 436 बैकलॉग पदों हेतु ऑनलाइन आवेदन आमंत्रित किए हैं, जो विशेष रूप से ओडिशा के एसईबीसी, अनुसूचित जाति व अनुसूचित जनजाति उम्मीदवारों के लिए आरक्षित हैं। आवेदन की अंतिम तिथि जो पहले 24 अगस्त 2026 थी, हाल के संशोधन (कोरिजेंडम) के जरिए बढ़ाकर 10 सितंबर 2026 कर दी गई है, जिसके अनुसार शुल्क भुगतान व फॉर्म जमा करने की समय-सीमा भी संशोधित हुई है। पात्रता हेतु उम्मीदवारों के पास वेटरनरी काउंसिल ऑफ इंडिया या राज्य वेटरनरी काउंसिल से पंजीकृत बीवीएससी डिग्री होनी चाहिए। लिखित परीक्षा 26 सितंबर 2026 को प्रस्तावित है, और चयन इस परीक्षा के प्रदर्शन तथा उसके बाद दस्तावेज़ सत्यापन पर आधारित होगा। चयनित उम्मीदवारों को निर्धारित वेतनमान अनुसार 56,100 रुपये प्रति माह तक वेतन मिलेगा। यह भर्ती श्रेणी-विशिष्ट व बैकलॉग प्रकृति की होने के कारण, पात्र एससी/एसटी/एसईबीसी उम्मीदवार बढ़ी हुई अंतिम तिथि से पहले आवेदन करें और अपडेट हेतु opsc.gov.in नियमित देखें।
