The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission declared the result of the Bihar Police Sub-Inspector Prohibition 2026 Preliminary Examination on 12 August 2026, for recruitment against Advertisement No. 03/2026, which covers 78 Sub-Inspector Prohibition vacancies in the Special Branch. The preliminary examination was conducted on 12 July 2026 at centres across Bihar. A total of 1,560 candidates, roughly twenty times the total vacancies distributed across reserved and unreserved categories, have qualified from the prelims stage and been shortlisted for the Mains Written Examination. Qualified candidates can check their roll numbers, category-wise scores and cut-off marks on the official BPSSC website, bpssc.bihar.gov.in, using their registration number and other login details. This is a separate, smaller recruitment drive from the earlier 1,799-vacancy Bihar Police Sub-Inspector exam, and candidates should not confuse the two. The commission is expected to announce the Mains exam date and admit card schedule separately in the coming weeks; aspirants should meanwhile prepare General Studies, General Hindi and the optional subject.
